The city is about to wake up once more, so calm but also getting ready,

to be invaded with the citizen's noise, it's this architecture sized valley,

founded by Diaz Moreno in 1555, besieged by Lope de Aguirre in 1561,

raided by french pirates in 1677, who burnt down its City Hall.

On June 24th, 1821 the battle of Carabobo was fought on the outskirts of the city,

sealing the Independence of Venezuela from imperial Spanish rule.
